Idaho Art Teacher and IAEA Member Will be Missed
Jacqueline Sue Grooms 07/15/1953-06/19/2011 Jacqueline S. Grooms, 57, of Emmett, ID, took her steps to heaven on
Sunday, June 19, 2011, from a recent diagnosis of cancer. Jacqueline was born July 15, 1953, in Meshoppen,
Pennsylvania to Irving and Ellice Alden. She was the youngest of their five children: Duane Alden, Sandra Seamans, Mary
Lou Keller, and Diana Case. Growing up she was an athlete, an artist, and most importantly a sister and friend. She
earned her Bachelor's Degree in Art from Edinboro University, and obtained a Master's Degree in Education from Lesley
University. Her passion was art, and her medium of expression was through teaching her students at West Junior High.
She was married for 30 years to her longtime love Ronald Grooms. They have two children, Eli and Mariah, and new
daughter-in-law Anne-Marie. She had one grandchild, Tank (the dog), whom she referred to as Sunshine. She loved
spending time with her family, whether on the back deck of their home, floating the river, or traveling the roads in her little
green Element. She loved God, gardening, teaching, doing crafts and spending time with friends. She is survived by her
husband Ronald, son Eli, daughter Mariah, daughter-in-law Anne-Marie, grandson Tank, brother Duane, sisters Sandra,
Mary Lou, and Diana, and countless cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends. Services will be held at 11 a.m.,
Thursday, June 23, at West Junior High School in Boise, ID. All who know and love Jacqueline are welcome to attend.
